Command & Data Handling Subsystem for Cube-Satellites

  • Onboard computer system responsible for operating a cube-satellite
  • Hardware was implemented using a low-cost Linux micro-computer
  • Software included subroutine modules for each satellite subsystem, and an active controlling thread to detect changes and govern satellite state
  • The project won the best computer engineering graduation project award in the 2013 Egyptian Engineering Day national competition.
